Welcome to Scayla. These terms of service (the "Terms") form a binding legal agreement between you, the store owner using the service, and the service operator. Please read them carefully before using the service. Signing up for, installing and using the service confirms that you have read, understood and accepted these terms, and the separate privacy policy. If you do not agree with any term, do not use the service.
1. Definitions
1.1. "The Service" or "Scayla": the SEO/GEO system for online stores, including all of its screens and features, and the accompanying marketing site. The service supports two platforms: Shopify and WordPress / WooCommerce, and it can also be used directly in the web app.
1.2. "The App": the software component at app.scayla.co.il, embedded in Shopify Admin. Applies to Shopify stores.
1.3. "The Plugin" or "Scayla Connect": the free WordPress plugin that connects a WordPress / WooCommerce site to the service, distributed through the wordpress.org plugin directory under the GPL licence. Applies to WordPress sites.
1.4. "The Site": this website, getscayla.com, and the Hebrew-language website at scayla.co.il.
1.4A. "The Web App": the service at app.getscayla.com, where you sign up for Scayla and use it directly.
1.5. "The Operator" or "we": Lior Zabari Ltd., company number 516967395. Full contact details in section 21.
1.6. "The Merchant", "you" or "the User": the store owner, a business entity with legal capacity, authorised to manage the store (on Shopify or on WordPress) and the connected Google accounts.
2. Nature of the service
2.1. An SEO/GEO tool. Scayla measures store visibility in Google and in AI answer engines, and generates and applies SEO/GEO improvements (articles, metadata for products and categories, FAQs, 301 redirects, structured data). This applies on both supported platforms, Shopify and WordPress / WooCommerce, with the adaptations each platform requires.
2.1A. Blog posts on Elementor sites. On a connected WordPress site that runs Elementor, and only after you turn the feature on, Scayla creates and designs new blog posts, as drafts. A post is published only after two approvals by a workspace administrator in Scayla (see section 2.2), and every publish can be undone. Scayla does not edit pages, templates or posts you created yourself.
2.2. Approval and control. By default, no change reaches the store without a person's approval. A workspace administrator may choose, per website, to let the kinds of work they select go live on their own once they pass Scayla's review. Each such change is recorded, emailed to the workspace's administrators, and can be rolled back. Elementor blog posts are never published automatically: each one needs two approvals by a workspace administrator, first to build the draft and then to publish it, and undoing a publish or discarding a draft always works. Every change is reversible from within the app. AI-generated content is provided as a suggestion; it is your responsibility to review it before it goes live.
2.3. No guaranteed results. SEO/GEO outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. We do not guarantee any rankings, traffic, AI mentions or revenue.
2.4. Not professional advice. The service is not a substitute for professional advice and is not a commitment to a business outcome.
3. Capacity and responsibility
3.1. Business (B2B) use only. Scayla is intended for owners of online stores on Shopify and WordPress / WooCommerce, for the purposes of their business. This agreement is entered into by a business entity with legal capacity to do so, and not for personal, household or family use. It is not offered for purchase by a private consumer.
3.2. By signing up, installing and connecting, you declare that you own or are authorised to manage the store you connect (a Shopify store or a WordPress / WooCommerce site) and the Google accounts (Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile) you connect, and that you may accept these terms on behalf of the business.
3.3. Age. Use of and purchase from the service are permitted to adults aged 18 or over, acting on behalf of a business. Purchases may not be made by anyone under 18.
3.4. You are responsible for safeguarding your access credentials and reporting any unauthorised use.
3.5. You approve what goes live. What is published on your site is your decision, including the choice to let work go live on its own under section 2.2. It is your responsibility to review any content, change or post before you approve it for publishing.
4. Account, installation and connections
4.0. Signing up directly. You can sign up for Scayla directly in the web app (app.getscayla.com), with an email address and a password, or by signing in with a Google account. Your workspace, the websites you add and the team members you invite are managed in that account.
4.1. Installation on Shopify. Installation is performed through the Shopify App Store and is also subject to Shopify's terms.
4.2. Installation and pairing on WordPress / WooCommerce. Installation does not go through Shopify. You install the Scayla Connect plugin from the wordpress.org plugin directory (or by uploading the zip), and then connect the site to the service: you create an Application Password in WordPress, provide it to Scayla once, and the service immediately exchanges it for its own narrow, revocable token. From that point the Application Password can be revoked. The service operates through a dedicated user with a narrow, fixed capability list, which cannot install plugins, manage users, change site settings, or log in to the site.
4.3. The plugin is free and nothing in it is locked. The plugin is distributed under the GPL licence, and every capability present in its code works without payment. Plan limits apply to how much work the cloud service performs, not to what the plugin is permitted to do. Removing or disconnecting the plugin does not depend on us and does not require our approval.
4.4. Connecting Google sources is done through Google OAuth; you choose the account and approve read-only scopes. Any connection can be disconnected at any time.
4.5. Supply and delivery. When and how the service is supplied: see section 8B (Supply and delivery policy).
4.6. You must provide accurate and current details and keep them updated.
5. Privacy and data protection
5.1. Use of the service is also subject to the separate privacy policy, which forms an integral part of this agreement and details the types of data collected, its use, storage and sharing, and your rights.
5.2. You have the rights afforded by law (access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent), as detailed in the privacy policy.
6. Licence and intellectual property
6.1. All intellectual property rights in the service (the code, design, interface, the "Scayla" brand, marks, texts and graphics) belong to the operator or its licensors and are protected by law. This does not derogate from the GPL licence under which the WordPress plugin itself is distributed.
6.2. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to make business use of the service for your store, subject to these terms and to payment where applicable.
6.3. You may not copy, duplicate, reverse-engineer, decompile, create derivative works, resell, lease or remove proprietary notices, except as expressly permitted by non-waivable law or by the GPL licence as it applies to the plugin.
6.4. Your content remains yours. Your store content, including content generated and approved for application, remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to use it solely to operate and maintain the service, in accordance with the privacy policy.
7. Permitted and prohibited use
7.1. Use is permitted for lawful business purposes only.
7.2. You undertake not to: harm the service or its security or disrupt its operation; obtain unauthorised access; use the service to publish unlawful, infringing, misleading or offensive content; breach the terms of Google, Shopify, WordPress.org or WooCommerce; or exploit a bug or defect for improper advantage.
8. Payment, subscription and cancellation
8.1. Billing for Shopify stores. On the Shopify platform, Scayla is billed exclusively through Shopify's Managed Pricing mechanism (the charge appears on your Shopify invoice). Plans, prices and quotas are shown on the Shopify pricing page and may change on notice.
8.2. Billing for WordPress / WooCommerce sites. Billing does not go through Shopify. The plugin itself is free; payment, should you choose a paid plan, is for the cloud service only.
- Who sells and who charges. The seller and the charging party is Lior Zabari Ltd., company number 516967395 (full details in section 21). The invoice is issued in the company's name.
- Payment and processing. Payment is made by credit card through a licensed payment processor operating in Israel. Card details are provided directly to the payment processor and are never stored by us at any stage. The processor is PCI DSS compliant and details are transmitted over an encrypted connection.
- Before any charge. Plan details, price, billing currency, billing frequency and the next renewal date are shown to you in full before you confirm an order. No charge occurs without your explicit approval.
8.3. Free trial. A free trial is offered; diagnostic features are available at no charge. At the end of the trial without an active subscription, generation features are paused until a plan is selected. On both platforms, suspending a paid plan does not disable the plugin or the app, and does not delete content already applied to the store.
8.4. Currency, VAT and invoicing. Prices shown on the site are denominated in US dollars (USD) and do not include value added tax. Israeli businesses are charged VAT on top of the price, at the rate in force on the date of the charge, itemised separately on the invoice. Customers outside Israel are not charged Israeli VAT. When you are billed through Shopify, applicable taxes appear on your Shopify invoice. A lawful invoice is issued for every charge and sent to the email address you provided, no later than 14 days from the date of the charge. By signing up you consent to receiving these documents (invoice, receipt and credit note) electronically by email rather than as a printed copy. You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us, and we will then deliver the documents by other means. A credit card charge may appear in shekels at your card issuer's conversion rate; we are not party to that rate or to any conversion fees the issuer charges.
8.5. Automatic renewal · full disclosure. The subscription is a continuing transaction and renews automatically at the end of each billing period: a monthly subscription renews monthly and an annual subscription renews annually, on the same plan and at the same price, until you cancel. Before you confirm an order you are shown the plan, price, billing currency, billing frequency and the next renewal date, and no charge occurs without your explicit approval. Any price change taking effect at renewal is notified by email in advance, and you may cancel before the renewal date.
8.6. Cancelling a subscription. You may cancel at any time and without giving a reason, with no penalty and no cancellation fee.
- How to cancel. On Shopify: remove the app or cancel the subscription from within Shopify. On WordPress: from your account area, or by contacting us by email, by phone or by registered mail, as listed in section 21. In addition, and without depending on us, you can disconnect the site immediately from the site itself (deleting the service user or deactivating the plugin revokes the service's access).
- What happens after cancelling. Cancellation applies going forward. The billing period already paid for runs to its end, and the service remains available to you until then. At the end of that period billing simply stops and no renewal occurs. So if you cancel an annual subscription a week after buying it, the service is available to you until the end of that year and you are not charged again. The same rule applies to a monthly subscription.
- Refunds. Because the service remains available to you until the end of the period you paid for, we do not as a rule issue pro-rata refunds for a period that has begun. An incorrect charge, a duplicate charge, or a charge made after you cancelled will be refunded in full. Contact us and we will handle it.
- Content already applied. Cancelling does not remove content and changes already applied to your store. They remain yours.
- Statutory rights. Where a right of cancellation applies under law (for example in a distance-selling transaction), it applies in full and nothing above derogates from it.
8A. Service warranty
8A.1. We stand behind the service. We undertake that the service will be provided with skill, in accordance with its description on the site and in the contract documents, and that we will work to fix a reported fault within a reasonable time at no additional charge.
8A.2. If the service was not delivered as presented. If you find a gap between what was promised and what you received, contact us through any of the channels in section 21. We will investigate; if the gap is ours we will fix it, and if it cannot be fixed we will credit you for the period during which the service was not properly provided.
8A.3. What the warranty does not cover. The warranty covers delivery and correct functioning of the service, not a business outcome. As stated in 2.3, Google rankings and AI-engine mentions depend on factors outside our control and are not guaranteed. The warranty also does not cover a fault originating in your platform, in a third-party plugin, or in a change you made yourself.
8B. Supply and delivery policy: how and when the service is supplied
8B.1. What is supplied. Scayla is a digital service, supplied entirely online. Nothing is shipped: there is no physical delivery and no delivery charge.
8B.2. How it is supplied. Through your account at app.getscayla.com; on Shopify also through the Scayla app, and on WordPress through the Scayla Connect plugin (section 4).
8B.3. When it is supplied.
- Account activation: immediately on completing signup, and for a paid plan immediately after the payment is approved.
- Connecting your store or website: under your control, and it usually takes a few minutes.
- First outputs: the initial scan and diagnosis are normally ready within 24 hours of connection. AI-visibility measurement runs every week, and its first result is shown within a week of connection.
8B.4. Delays. We are not responsible for a delay caused by a third party (for example Google, Shopify, WordPress, a hosting provider or the payment provider), by force majeure (section 18), or by a step only you can take, such as connecting your store or a Google account, or approving a change. If the service was not supplied as set out in this section, contact us (section 21) and section 8A applies.
8B.5. Support: through the channels in section 21, Sunday to Thursday.
9. Service availability
9.1. The service is provided AS-IS and AS-AVAILABLE.
9.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant continuous or error-free operation, or the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the data displayed (including data received from Google), and we are not responsible for decisions, changes or delays by Google (including the outcome and timing of Google API verification), Shopify, WordPress.org, WooCommerce, or third-party plugins installed on your site, such as Yoast SEO or Rank Math.
9.3. We may perform maintenance and updates, and add, change or discontinue features, with reasonable notice where possible.
10. Product and service liability (limitation of liability)
This section sets out our liability for damage that may be caused to you or to anyone else as a result of using the service bought through the site or its outputs.
10.1. Subject to non-waivable law, we shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, special or incidental damage, including loss of data, profit or goodwill.
10.2. Our aggregate liability for any cause related to the service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for Scayla in the three months preceding the event.
10.3. This limitation does not apply to liability under privacy protection law for infringement of privacy or a data breach, and does not exempt us from liability for bodily injury, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
10.4. Not professional advice. The service's content, recommendations and reports are not professional advice (section 2.4) and do not guarantee a result (section 2.3). Responsibility for decisions you make based on them, and for content you approve or let go live (section 2.2), is yours.
11. Indemnity
11.1. You undertake to indemnify us, subject to our demand and to law, for reasonable damage caused by your breach of these terms or misuse of the service; limited to damage arising directly from the breach, and not applying to damage caused by us.
12. Suspension and termination
12.1. We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access in the event of a breach, misuse, or a legal requirement; with notice where possible.
12.2. You may stop using the service at any time: removing the app on Shopify, or disconnecting the site and removing the plugin on WordPress. Upon termination, data deletion will be performed in accordance with the privacy policy.
13. Changes to the terms
13.1. We may update these terms. Reasonable notice will be given for a material change, and where necessary we will ask for renewed consent. Continued use after a non-material change may be deemed acceptance. There is no retroactive application.
14. Third-party services
14.1. The service relies on Shopify (for Shopify stores), WordPress.org and WooCommerce (for WordPress sites), a licensed Israeli payment processor for billing outside Shopify, Google (Cloud/Vertex plus Search Console/Analytics/Business Profile APIs), OpenAI (for measurement only), Resend (email delivery), Serper (Google position checks) and Cloudflare. These are subject to their operators' terms and policies; we are not responsible for their availability or actions.
14.2. Data may be stored and processed on third-party servers outside Israel, as detailed in the privacy policy.
15. Cookies
15.1. The service uses primarily strictly necessary technical cookies. There are no advertising cookies. The WordPress plugin sets no cookies at all. Details are in the privacy policy.
16. Accessibility

17. Disputes and first contact
17.1. For any complaint or dispute we ask that you contact us first at hello@getscayla.com, and we will endeavour to resolve it within a reasonable time. This does not derogate from your right to approach any competent authority or the courts.
18. Force majeure
18.1. We shall not be liable for delay or non-performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (war, emergency, communications or power failures, cloud or provider failure, cyber attack, regulatory change, natural disaster or pandemic).
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
19.1. The laws of the State of Israel apply exclusively. Jurisdiction lies with the competent courts in Israel.
20. General provisions
20.1. Severability, waiver, assignment (we may assign in the context of a change of control, merger or sale; you may assign with our prior written consent), entire agreement (these terms plus the privacy policy constitute the full agreement), and headings for convenience only. These terms are also published in Hebrew at scayla.co.il. If the two versions ever conflict, the Hebrew version prevails.
